  • What is Multiple Sclerosis?
    Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease, in which as a result of the immune system attacking the myelin (protective covering of nerve), the flow of information between the brain and the rest of the body is disrupted.
  • What are the different types of MS?
    Relapsing- Remitting MS (RRMS): It is the most common form of MS - it is defined by attacks followed by recovery (remission) Secondary Progressive MS (SPMS): Following RRMS course in most individuals - the disease starts to progress during or after attacks Primary Progressive MS (PPMS): Small percentage of individuals affected by MS - progression from onset with no attacks along the way

    MS Symptoms can vary and no two MS patients experience the exact same set of symptoms. Some of the more common symptoms include: -Numbness -Weakness -Vision Problems -Fatigue -Cognitive problems -Walking difficulties
